Welcome to God’s Family in Ikthus!

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so
we also should walk in newness of life.” — Romans 6:4

March 26, 2009 at 6:00 in the evening was a special event for Ikthus. You know why? For the first time in the history of the church, 96 men and women from various Ikthus Worship Services, came and publicly professed their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ by submitting themselves to Baptism in our new baptistry.

Such event is always momentous! It reminds those who are older in the faith, like us ,of the joy we experienced when we first said YES to the Lord. How we were so high in our spirits knowing that we were new creatures and that our hearts were washed clean by the blood of Jesus. We were just so alive in the Lord!

This is exactly what happened last Thursday. You can see faces beaming with joy! They were simply oozing with love and excitement for the Lord! We were both challenged and reminded that night. Yes! It’s time to work it out again just like the first time with our First Love!

May our love for our Lord Jesus bring us to glorify His Name and enjoy Him forever! Again, to all the newly baptized, we say…Welcome to God’s Family in Ikthus! We give God the glory, honor and praise only due His Name!
